African Journey

"It was night and there was moonlight and firelight when I first saw Africa..." Thus began his love affair with Africa. It was 1959 and Pete Turner, fresh out of the Army after graduating from Rochester Institute of Technology, was on his way to Capetown, South Africa, for an adventure that would change his a seven-month safari with the Airstream Trailer Company caravan for National Geographic.
