Top Homicide cop Darian Richards has dedicated his life to hunting down monsters, but after surviving a gunshot wound to the head, he retires to the Sunshine Coast, hoping to escape his past. However, he soon discovers that demons are everywhere. A serial killer is active in the area, preying on young girls who have gone missing over the past fourteen months—blonde and pretty, aged 13 to 16. While the police label them as "missing" or "vanished," Darian knows they are dead. The first victim, Jenny Brown, disappeared on a Saturday afternoon, dismissed by authorities as a runaway before they even reached her home. As more girls vanish, the police can no longer afford to ignore the pattern. Despite his desire for peace, Darian cannot sit idly by while these tragedies unfold. Driven by a promise to victims' families and his own sense of justice, he resolves to track down the killer and confront him in his own way.
