Monica Julita Burton, an educator with a theological background, is an activist and a Spirit-filled and Spirit- led woman of God. Her prolific and prophetic expressions of praise, gratitude and faith compel us to look for meaning and value in the ordinary activities that make up most of our lives. Burton contends that "Everybody's story is reflected in these poems." In speaking through her own silence, Burton challenges us to explore faith in the daily experiences of our lives by keeping our eyes and hearts open for God's messages of love and encouragement as He speaks to us through each act of love, each act of courage and each act of sacrifice, no matter how trivial they may seem.
