Bridge long-span suspension and cable-stayed bridges are currently of great interest, a fact reflected by an ever-increasing number of bridges being built over bays, straits and estuaries. Consequently, the authors deemed this an opportune time to write this book, which describes the current capabilities of analysis and design and is aimed at bridge design engineers and researchers, and brings together cogently information that hitherto could only be found in technical magazines.
