Face Detection using Proposed Model

The book presents a novel model for face detection utilizing the HSI color model, which captures pixel color information effectively. It employs edge detection to delineate boundaries and fill image regions, integrating both techniques to produce color-segmented images. The model enhances face detection through morphological operations and non-face rejection, achieving precise results. Performance is rigorously evaluated against existing algorithms using precision, recall, and F1 metrics, alongside accuracy comparisons of precision-recall and ROC curves, tested on 290 images from various datasets.
