Non-Supersymmetric Flux Compactifications

Focusing on flux compactification, this work offers significant advancements in string theory, particularly in moduli stabilization and supersymmetry breaking. It addresses the previously unexplored connection between non-supersymmetric solutions in type II string theory and their heterotic counterparts. The authors provide explicit constructions of non-supersymmetric vacua within heterotic string theory and analyze their strong coupling limits by extending these solutions to heterotic M-theory, filling a critical gap in the field.
