The study investigates the relationship between self-directed learning and post-adoptive behaviors in technology-enabled work systems. Drawing from previous research, it explores whether self-directed learning, as an inherent or learned trait, can predict user behavior after adopting new technologies. Key findings indicate no statistically significant differences in self-directed learning and post-adoptive behaviors across different user categories from pre-computer to Internet eras, suggesting a consistent pattern in user engagement regardless of technological advancements.
