Set in the 1960s, the story follows triplets Freddie, Bill, and Irving, raised by their mother Lillian in a seaside town. After a conflict with a local girl, Marcia, escalates and threatens her home, the boys are sent to their aunt's house in western Scotland for the summer, aiming to keep them out of trouble. The narrative explores themes of childhood mischief and the consequences of actions, all against the backdrop of a changing coastal landscape.
