The artist captured the façade of the Saint-Étienne cathedral through a two-hour photographic session, resulting in 120 images that reveal the interplay of natural light on Gothic architecture. These photographs layer three distinct eras: the 12th century, 1949, and 2012, highlighting the theme of transience. As readers turn the pages, they experience a visual metaphor for the passage of time and the ephemeral nature of existence.
