Innovations in Hebrew Poetry

Focusing on the innovative aspects of Sirach poetry, this study challenges the notion that Ben Sira merely imitates Proverbs. It highlights the unique use of parallelism and offers detailed readings and philological analyses of the nine poems found in the Masada scroll. Additionally, the work provides broader observations on various Sirach and biblical poems, showcasing Ben Sira's originality and the distinctiveness of his poetic contributions within the Hebrew literary tradition.
