Set in seventh-century Ireland, the narrative follows Artt, a scholar and priest, who, guided by a dream, embarks on a journey with two monks, Trian and Cormac, to establish a monastery on a remote island. Their adventure leads them to a stark, bird-populated island, where they must confront the challenges of survival and the meaning of faith in isolation. The story explores themes of spirituality, sacrifice, and the quest for a deeper purpose in a world filled with sin.
