Frederick's Heir

Set against the backdrop of 19th-century Paris, the narrative follows Fredrica Navarreau, or Rica, as she challenges societal norms at her convent school. While preparing to inherit her grandfather's shipping company, she seeks knowledge beyond the expectations placed on her as a woman. Her ambition clashes with her family's traditional views, leading her grandfather to distract her with the festivities surrounding the Suez Canal's opening and a journey to the Far East, highlighting the tension between personal aspirations and societal constraints.
