Set during a summer at Camp Penn's Woods, Skye and her friend Chad face challenges while working with special needs children. Skye struggles to teach Jonathan, a young deaf boy, to ride a horse in the western style he resists. When Jonathan and the horse, Buddy, go missing in the mountains, Skye and Chad embark on a rescue mission, highlighting themes of determination, friendship, and the importance of understanding different perspectives.
