The European Dept Crisis. Why it occured and what we can learn of it

Focusing on the European debt crisis, this thesis explores its origins, the inherent weaknesses of the Economic and Monetary Union (EMU), and the lessons learned. It examines the evolution of the EMU from its beginnings until the 2007 financial crisis, analyzes the crisis's direct effects on sovereign debt, and offers insights into the situation eight years later. Additionally, the work suggests directions for future research, providing a comprehensive understanding of the crisis's implications for European finance.
