This seminar paper aims to bridge the gap between markedness theory and the expression of emotions, suggesting that markedness serves as an indicator of emotional intensity. The research highlights the scarcity of material connecting these two areas, positioning the paper as a significant contribution to the understanding of how linguistic structures can reflect emotional nuances.
