Millennial college students stand out as the most politically progressive generation in U.S. history, driven by concerns over social and economic inequality and environmental protection. Despite their desire to enact change and high levels of volunteerism, they struggle with expressing dissenting opinions due to their education as rule-followers and test-takers. Their reliance on social media has resulted in superficial relationships, and while they possess energy and skills, they often lack historical context and opportunities for critical thinking about the complex issues they wish to address.
