However, the event quickly spirals into chaos as backstage rivalries and a contestant's mysterious disappearance reveal a larger conspiracy. Joined by friends Kyle and Ellis, Jem must navigate the political tensions of the "don't say gay" state while donning his sleuthing cap to uncover the truth and save the pageant.
