While the Empress negotiates, he explores the continent, yearning for his beloved Adela back in Mexico. His journey is filled with reflections on love and devotion, culminating in a poignant return to London. As he prepares to sail home, he wrestles with the anxiety of whether Adela will survive the impending revolution threatening their homeland.
