Lasting authoritarian features in Belarus

Focusing on the authoritarian characteristics of Belarus, this seminar paper examines the country's shortcomings in civil society and the development of fundamental liberties. It employs key theories related to authoritarian regimes and civil society concepts to analyze these deficiencies. The work, produced in 2020 for a course on the political systems of Central and Eastern Europe, offers insights into the political landscape of Belarus and its implications for democracy.
