Liu Zhi, a prominent Muslim scholar in China, faced significant challenges in interpreting Islamic texts for a Chinese audience. This book explores his ability to communicate complex Islamic concepts while integrating the Hui Muslims' religious practices into China's diverse culture. It examines Liu Zhi's contextualization method, which skillfully blends Islamic teachings with local traditions, and assesses the impact of his works on the life and thought of Hui Muslims. Ultimately, it argues that his approach remained faithful to core Islamic beliefs.
