Simulation of Automotive Radar Point Clouds in Standardized Frameworks

Focusing on the simulation of vehicle environment sensors, this work emphasizes its critical role in testing and validating autonomous driving. It highlights the automotive industry's shift towards a standardized architecture with high abstraction levels. The study explores data-driven methods to simulate sensors, particularly radar sensors, at a realistic point cloud level. It addresses ongoing challenges in sensor simulation and investigates four specific research questions related to these issues.
