Set against the backdrop of a historic Queen Anne Victorian in San Francisco, the story follows general contractor Mel Turner as she navigates a challenging restoration project. With the homeowners present and supernatural disturbances complicating matters, Mel faces additional obstacles from a cantankerous neighbor who harbors a secret desire for the property. When this neighbor is found dead, Mel becomes the prime suspect, forcing her to clear her name while completing the renovations before time runs out.
