Modality in Argumentation

Focusing on the interplay between modality and argument structure, this book delves into two key questions raised by Toulmin regarding how semantic analysis of modality influences arguments. It examines the role of modality as an essential component of argumentation and investigates various linguistic modal expressions as indicators of argumentative strength.
