A qualitative case study of four rural southeastern Ohio schools utilizing the Ohio Improvement Process

Focusing on the impact of No Child Left Behind, this study analyzes four rural southeastern Ohio school districts striving for improvement under the Ohio Improvement Process. Despite implementing similar strategies, the districts show varied results on state assessments. Through qualitative case studies, including interviews and document analysis, the research identifies three overarching themes with sub-themes related to the districts' unique challenges and cultural influences. The findings highlight the complexities of educational reform in rural settings.
