Focusing on the breakage of granular materials, this work investigates the efficiency of size reduction in batch ball mills using both computational and experimental methods. By applying the Discrete Element Method (DEM) alongside a bench-top ball mill, the study examines the relationships between energy input, particle motion, and size reduction. The Attainable Region (AR) approach is utilized to identify optimal conditions for enhanced particle breakage, aiming to improve energy efficiency and lower operational costs in industrial applications.
