The book introduces a new category of copular sentences called inverse copular sentences, where the noun phrase acts as the predicate in a position typically reserved for subjects. This innovative perspective leads to a unification of four distinct areas of syntax, including existential sentences and unaccusative constructions. The study also addresses classical linguistic issues such as expletives, locality theory, and possessive constructions, providing fresh insights into cross-linguistic variations and the Definiteness Effect.
