The narrative follows a young air force pilot whose life is shaped by significant historical events, including his service in Vietnam. Transitioning from military to medicine, he partners in a market-garden export business, where he discovers a powerful computer, Orack. This leads to their recruitment by the U.S. president, entangling them in Middle East politics and corruption. After the assassination of his first wife, he finds love again in Australia, setting the stage for a trilogy filled with themes of magic, space travel, and business intrigue.
