Germany advocates for a "just transition" to achieve a sustainable economy, balancing climate goals with social equity. Collaborating with the World Bank and BMZ, two papers were produced addressing the need for equitable economic transformation and the interconnection of climate change and social inequality. The first paper examines energy sector decarbonization and social protection, while the second focuses on the coal transition, offering practical recommendations for development cooperation.
