Nude Visions. 160 Years of Nude Photography

This publication focuses on the genre of nude photography, showcasing 220 original photographs from 1845 to 2005 from the Munich City Museum's collection. It explores the cultural history of nude imagery across six chapters, featuring masters from various eras, including influences from antiquity, symbolist art, naturism, and modern abstract experiments. The male nude is also presented as a symbol of homosexual emancipation.
