Mark Ablett is entertaining a group of neighbors and friends from the local community at his country house when his brother, Robert, the family's black sheep returns from Australia. Very soon, Robert is found murdered, shot through the head, and Mark has disappeared. Two investigators must sift the real clues from the red herrings to discover the truth behind an apparently impossible crime. A classic locked room mystery
