Moja prvá fantasy kniha po Harrym Potterovi, ktorá ma vcelku zaujala. Mala som ju ako štafetu. Na začiatku sa mi trošku ťahala a dej bol taký lenivý, no po pár kapitolách to už začalo byť celkom zaujímavé, záhadné, napínavé, miestami aj trošku hororové. Mne to pripomenulo jeden film, mysteriozný, horor..no ani za svet ma nenapadne názov ??♀️...nevadí, ja na to isto prídem... Ale k veci... Príbeh sa odohráva v dedinke, ktorá je v podstate odtrhnuta,od zvysku sveta, kde kazdy obyvatel ma svoje "miesto" a úlohu. Hlavna hrdinka Ellerie je dcérou včelára, a "náhodne" stretáva Whitakera,ktorý sa zjaví v ich dedine...Dedinka Amity Falls je ohraničená lesom, za ktorým sa ukrývajú netvori, ktoré zabíjajú ľudí, túto hranicu majù dedinčania ohraničenú zvončekmi, za ktoré už nesmú ísť. Keď zmizne konvoj, ktorý mal ísť do mesta pre zásoby, začnú sa diať zvláštne veci...zvieratá, ktoré zmutujú všemožnými spôsobmi, ľudia robia veci napriek iným ľuďom atď...Ellerie sa snaží zistiť, čo sa to v ich dedine deje.. Príbeh má celkom pomalý spád, napätie prichádza taktiež pomalým tempom, no potom naberá na obrátkach a zrazu sa deje všetko naraz. Rozuzlenie prichádza akýmsi zvláštym spôsobom, deje sa tam zrazu toho toľko na pár stranách, až sa človek do toho sám zamotá. Konec je zvláštne otvorený, ostalo veľa nezodpovedaných otázok.. Čo sa mi nepáčilo, bola náhla bitka dedinčanov, ktorá mne osobne vôbec nesadla. Je to také jemné mystery, naozaj asi pre YA, ale inak sa nečítala zle
