Originally written for a magazine, these essays explore a number of intriguing theories, such as Big Bang and Stephen Hawking's theroy of time, at a level appropriate for both scientists and non-scientists alike. The word "neophilia" refers to man's state of enthusiasm and curiosity for the new. The author has a doctorate in animal behaviour, and experience in anthropology, archaeology and palaeontology.
