Focusing on the experiences of call center workers in seven countries, this collection examines how service labor intersects with national identity in emerging global hubs. Unlike studies that primarily spotlight India, it highlights the unique challenges and cultural contexts faced by workers in El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Mauritius, Morocco, the Philippines, and along the US-Mexico border, providing a broader understanding of transnational service work dynamics.
