Siouxsie and the Banshees were a rock group, formed in London, England, UK during 1976 by vocalist Siouxsie Sioux and bass guitarist Steven Severin. They've been widely influential to their contemporaries then over later artists. Mojo rated guitarist John McGeoch in their list of '100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time' for his playing on Spellbound. The Times newspaper cited the band as 'one of the most audacious and uncompromising musical adventurers of the post-punk era'.
