Set on Halloween night in 1984, the story unfolds in Coventry, Massachusetts, where two families face unraveling relationships amidst a backdrop of secrets. As trick-or-treaters roam the street, four eerie children in vintage costumes emerge, pleading for safety from a mysterious figure known as The Cunning Man. Their arrival coincides with strange occurrences, including a new clearing in the woods. With the neighborhood divided and tensions high, the local kids must decide whether to protect these haunted newcomers or confront the darkness threatening their community.
