Clark and Division

Set in Chicago in 1944, the story follows twenty-year-old Aki Ito as she navigates the aftermath of her family's release from the Manzanar internment camp. With her parents, she is resettled far from their California home to reunite with her older sister, Rose, who has tragically died just before their meeting. Aki, who idolized Rose, struggles to accept the authorities' ruling of suicide, believing her sister's life was filled with hope and promise.
