The Men Who Swallowed the Sun

Set against the harsh realities of illegal immigration, the story follows two Bedouin cousins from Egypt's Western Desert as they pursue different paths to escape poverty. Hamdi, an introspective and doubtful intellectual, finds himself stuck in a Libyan oasis, while his adventurous cousin, the Phantom Raider, reaches the vibrant streets of Milan. The narrative explores themes of marginalization and the brutal conditions in Europe and Gaddafi's Libya, blending dark comedy with a poignant critique of political aspirations and human struggle.
