Looking Backward

Set in 19th century America, Julian West is an aristocrat who initially dismisses the struggles of the lower classes. After a routine hypnotic sleep leads to him being presumed dead in a fire, he awakens a century later to a transformed society advocating equality and social justice. Guided by Doctor Leete and his daughter Edith, Julian grapples with his past beliefs and the progressive ideals of the 20th century. As he returns to his original time, he faces the challenge of convincing others of his experiences and the reality of a better world.
