Viac o knihe
This remarkable series of watercolors by German artist Günther Förg began with an exhibition of late 19th-century paintings of the Baden school, plein air work that recalls Impressionism. Forg used these paintings as a jumping-off place for about 80 watercolors which he titled "Landscape Remains." They open a fascinating window into the concept of "inspiration," showing the viewer what one artist can take from another who worked a century earlier, and how many aspects of the painter's vocabulary remain constant over time. A series of "word paintings" by Arnold Stadler adds another dimension of fantasy and interpretation. With color reproductions that do full justice to Förg's work.
