Za mě velice pěkná, čtivá kniha. Pro někoho možná "jednoduchá", mně vyhovovala. Celá kniha je vyprávěním babičky (85 let) vnučce - vypráví o svém životě, přičemž se dotýká řady problematických společenských témat dané doby i složitosti rodinných vztahů. Vzhledem k tloušťce knihy asi nepřekvapí, že zatímco mládí dívky je zde zachyceno podrobněji, další etapy života jsou zde okrajovou záležitostí - dokreslují příběh, ale to hlavní se už stalo daleko dříve. Přesto nerozumím těm, kdo knihu odložili před dočtením do konce nebo snad přeskakovali kapitoly.
