Barchester Towers

Set in the cathedral city of Barchester, the story unfolds after the death of a beloved bishop, leading to a power struggle over the ecclesiastical appointment. Archdeacon Grantly expects to inherit his father's position, but the new Prime Minister appoints the Evangelical Bishop Proudie instead.
