Focusing on the Kam language's unique tonal system, this study delves into its narrative discourse through a functional approach. It explores the interplay between grammar and discourse, examining phonological and syntactic variations, classifier variants, and sentence-final particles. The research highlights how social settings shape narrative structures and provides current ethnological and social insights about the Kam community. This work fills a significant gap in the study of this under-researched language, offering a comprehensive analysis of its linguistic features.
