There are children for whom a goat is something as outlandish as an automobile was at the turn of the 20th century. The Goat Book offers a glance of everyday country life. In addition to learning how the goat grazes the grass, children find out how it pees, poos, how kids are born, and even about how goats are butchered for meat. While Tereza Říčanová doesn't present the countryside in a sentimental way, she reminds us that there the world is more than just virtual reality and the busy life of the city.
