Ordinary language philosophy, explains Fleming (philosophy, Bucknell U.), proposes that analysts articulate the conditions of restraint of particular uses of language, and identify the implications those uses make possible. Discussions of language analyzed and problems solved, it holds, should be deferred until after the specific language that people actually use is understood.
