Viac o knihe
This book is an attempt to summarise the contemporary state of treatment of spasticity and dystonia. The author included facts which have been scientifically validated, but also included some unproven approaches if no satisfactory alternative treatment exists. Since the introduction of Btx in the therapy of spasticity in 1989 the positive effects of this therapy have been proven in countless studies of children and adults with spasticity caused by cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, cerebral ischemia, cerebral and spinal trauma, as well as neuro-degenerative diseases. Btx is now a routine part of the treatment. The book is a practical reference and guide and will be a welcome addition to the library of all health professionals involved in the management of spasticity and dystonia.
