Electrical processes in atmospheres

These Proceedings provide a comprehensive account of the Fifth International Conference on Atmospheric Electricity, held in September 1974 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. Traditionally, such Proceedings serve as reference materials that update existing textbooks and monographs on Atmospheric Electricity. This field encompasses all aspects of atmospheric phenomena, including processes affecting the Earth's environment and analogous occurrences on other planets and the Moon. A history of the Conferences, their purpose, and an outline of the preparation can be found at the end of these Proceedings, along with details of the Business Meetings of the involved organizations. The content closely follows the original program and is organized into "Sessions." The papers included in each "Session" correspond to those accepted for the Conference, with only two "Special Sessions" assigned different numbers (2a and 10). All papers approved by the Executive Panel for either oral presentation or inclusion in the Proceedings are featured here, regardless of whether they were presented. In cases where discussions are absent, a note is provided to clarify the situation.
