The story follows Ohkwa'ri, a young Mohawk boy who faces the consequences of his decision to inform elders about a planned raid by older boys. As he becomes a target for Grabber and his friends, Ohkwa'ri must navigate the challenges of their hostility, particularly during the village's traditional lacrosse game, Tekwaarathon. Struggling between his belief in peace and the aggression directed at him, he questions whether his peaceful principles can withstand the escalating conflict.
