Brackenbeck

Set in the early twentieth century, the story follows Doctor Katharine Harvey as she faces skepticism from the villagers of Brackenbeck upon taking over a local practice. Resented and unrecognized as a qualified doctor, her struggles are exacerbated by Jim Kendrick, the influential quarry owner who opposes women in medicine. A pivotal tragedy ultimately shifts the villagers' perception, leading to a transformation in their attitudes towards Katharine and her role in the community.
