Collecting Gauguin: Samuel Courtauld in the 20s

Focusing on the remarkable collection of Paul Gauguin at the Courtauld Gallery, this special Summer display showcases the most significant works by the Post-impressionist artist in the UK. Assembled by collector Samuel Courtauld, it features major paintings, works on paper, and one of only two marble sculptures by Gauguin. Additionally, the exhibition includes two important loaned pieces from Courtauld's private collection: "Martinique Landscape" and "Bathers at Tahiti," enriching the context of Gauguin's artistic legacy.
