Assessment of differential item functioning by school location in western Africa

Focusing on the assessment of differential item functioning, this research examines the impact of school ownership on the 2020 WAEC SSCE Economics multiple-choice items. Conducted by the University of Benin's Faculty of Education, the study aims to uncover potential biases in examination performance related to the type of school, contributing valuable insights to educational and school politics in the context of pedagogy.
